Könnten ja evtl. noch Reste von Pyridin gewesen sein, oder? Ich finde eigentlich nur die aliphatischen Carbonsäuren mittlerer Kettenlänge ekelhaft.. Benzoesäure oder z.B. Ph-HOAc riechen echt gut meiner Meinung nach, aber ist ja alles subjektiv.. Ich seh schon, ich komme an der Zimtsäure nicht vorbei. 250g Zimtalkohol stehen schon bereit!

Also erkennen kann man es auf jeden Fall eindeutig!
Dass der Zimtsäuremethylester so nass aussieht, liegt daran, dass der Schmelzpunkt nur knapp über Raumtemperatur liegt oder? Mein Zimtalkohol ist auch immer zu ca. 10% flüssig, obwohl es im Labor nur 15-20°C hat und der Smp. eig. erst bei 31+°C liegt..
